We talk about genius in this manga, but do you know that we can also say the same thing for the manga? All of this for our happiness!!

Don't try to put KareKano in a single part ! It is a shôjo which is well in this category, with all his omnipresent flowers, his colored bubbles,... It is cutey, a shôjo manga, but it is sometimes foolish (I have said "sometimes"! I adore shôjo, don't think other thing!). Besides, it is funny, but it is sometimes exasperating ("sometimes", I insist!). However, Masami-sensei gets round the obstacles of the dilapidated-shôjo, to make of KareKano a deep-shôjo!

Indeed, the breath of humor of KareKano comes from our sigh of exasperation when we think about the romantically exasperating stereotypes: for instance, in act 3, Yukino leaves Sôichirô with a quiproquo and run away, crying. Clasic: we always see the stupid (^_^) heros calls her and stay unmoved, with a sad look; but Sôichirô, him, run after Yukino! This stereotype is destoyed two times, and Sôichirô succeeds to catch her up. (he has to explain himself!)

Moreover, this manga has an elaborate thinking aspect. It is not a wrong analyse of personnalities to *do as if*, it is a real analyse, and don't say "beurk!" because there are also the humor and the romantism of his shôjo aspect which lighten the tonality.

If the anime is startling, it is first because it leans on a solid fundation. Indeed, the Masami-sensei's manga is a really sensational itself, besides we can observe that the most part of dialogues and some setting are Exactly taken in the manga; what's more, the deep psychologic aspect is already in the manga.

The qualities of the manga are able to be betrayed as early as the first volume: beautiful cutting up, plan on the decors (originality that I like), etc. Note that the tramage is very varied, which shows all the efforts to make each manga; the style is carefully done (caracteristics of Masami's style: the eyes are not full of 10000 reflections but are colored by tramage, and there are theses bottom lips which are pulpy...) et some "drawing in pencil" express with eloquence the strongest scenes. Graphically and technically, in addition of the background, KareKano is very at the top.

We love too the Masami's funny interludes (who adore the cake "Opéra"!!); at the end of the manga, there are sometimes in BD shape! So... Go get it!!
