KareKano
is a love-love comedy which is deep : before diving in the romantism and
comic, the couple's reality is narrated. Light in the obscure and muddy loops of their
situation!
Have your parents be as right as Sôichirô's, welcoming with smile
the chosen of your heart?
My parents are as possessives as Yukino's : they are revolted when
an "OTOKOoooooooooo!" (= boy) comes. It translate their fear, lawful (but
exaggerated!), that some parents feel thinking that they lose their daughter. The
"baby" leaves the home whereas daddy and mum love her so much... So, in episode
6, the mother shout "a boooooy!" through all the mouse, and the word
"father" is lighting in the father's forehead, who come running.
Ah... Happily, Sôichirô has a delightful smile!!
A great quality un KareKano
is that it deals with the boy's feelings with details. So, let's see his case:
Sôichirô is, first, seduced by the Yukino's delicate beauty beauté (we will say
that it's by her intelligence too, boys don't think about physic only... I believe ^o^)
and her wonder face's sweetness. Then, he learns to compromise with her others faces, moreover he is the
only one who unmasks her (it's a single giving to a couple!). But all is not explored. He
discovers an angry Yukino in tears, a comprehensive and warm Yukino, a timid Yukino who
hold his hand, etc.
Progressively, he improves tokens of
affection which indicate the rising of the depth of his feelings: coaxing, then kiss,...
- The girl : Yukino MIYAZAWA
Even if it deals with the boy more, the
girl's feeling are not forgotten!
All start with her jealousy of the first
place. She feels
some embarrassment (yes, you are wrong Yukino, Arima-kun is really good!), but above all:
he has catch her eyes unconsciously. After the "enslave" doing school works in
act 2, Yukino pass definitivly from the extreme disgust to the great complicity with him.
This behaviour implicates the lasting depth of her feelings, which have to be define. A
smiling and singing (uta wa ii ne!) Sôichirô in the moonlight launch the sudden
awareness of her love. Then, the more to know him Yukino learn, the more her heart thrills
for him. She discovers a sweet and smiling Sôichirô, a traumatised Sôichirô, a
go-ahead Sôichirô, a wise and reasonable Sôichirô, etc.
By this way, love was born and grew up, in
the innocence of the first time: it's so beauty-beautiful!
The
couple's beauty come, first of all, from this innocence. Nothing dirty this relationship
because it is new, all is to build, by declarations, by first kisses, etc.
Other reason more materialist: the two characters
have exemplary humanity (materialist...?). They are as generous as comprehensive;
moreover, they are the most attractive (materialist!) and the most intelligent. So, their
union seems natural, so faultless, it is the union of two little perfect angels. (Tenshi
no yubikiri*?)
This beauty is improved by the fact that after every
problems, their love and their complicity become deeper. We just want one thing: behind
the rising of this idyll which delight us more and more.
We are more happy, more affectionnately,
etc. An evolution which behind the evolution of the couple's personnality, that we can see
(only in the anime) is Yukino's look; more precisely, her hairdress!
Indeed, she always keep a contrast between
the hairdress of her different faces, but since she is Sôichirô's "kanojo",
she becomes more natural in exterior. She starts to do her two bunches, to wear her
headband in public, ...
